RawRequestId

Struct RawRequestId

Source
#[repr(C)]
pub struct RawRequestId { pub writer_guid: [i8; 16], pub sequence_number: i64, }
Expand description

Issue 2081 — upstream rmw_request_id_t, as a C or C++ request-id service callback receives it (RawServiceRequestIdCallback).

Field for field the ABI’s rmw_request_id_t (nros/rmw_entity.h), which the API headers re-declare under one guard. A request whose backend did not report an id carries all zeros, the ABI’s spelling of “not reported”.

Fields§

§writer_guid: [i8; 16]

The requesting client’s identity; all zero = not reported.

§sequence_number: i64

The client-assigned sequence number of the request.

Implementations§

Source§

impl RawRequestId

Source

pub fn from_service_info(info: &ServiceInfo) -> Self

The id of info’s request, or all zeros when the backend reported none.

Source§

impl RawRequestId

Source

pub fn for_response(info: &ServiceInfo, seq: i64) -> Self

Issue 2136 — the id a reply’s callback receives: seq, the id the reply was matched on, with the writer GUID from info when the backend reported one.
